First of five Man Utd stars publicly called out by Sir Jim Ratcliffe refuses to leave

Manchester United sub-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe revealed last month that the club would still pay for a number of players the current “inherited” regime in the summer

Andre Onana has become the latest controversial player who gets the chance to make a lucrative transfer to Saudi Aarabia -but the goalkeeper of Manchester United is ready to sniff overtures from the middle to stay in Old Trafford.

The Cameroon International, 28, has experienced a difficult start of life with the Red Devils. After a debut season that was littered with mistakes last year, Onana again made his part of expensive errors during a scorching campaign for United, who is 13th in the competition table.

Onana's failure to meet expectations since moving to Manchester United has led to a growing investigation on him. However, his checkered shape has not postponed lovers in Saudi Arabia.

Mirror Football outlined on Wednesday how Onana was the target of ambitious clubs of the Saudi Pro League, which are ready to be big on the transfer market again this summer. But even though they get the chance to follow an escape route from England, Onana is planning to sit.

Onana was one of the five players who were recently controlled by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who discussed players that he and the current United Regime had “inherited”. The club will continue to pay the fee of £ 47.2 million for Onana this summer.

He said to BBC Sport: “If you look at the players we buy this summer, which we didn't buy, we buy Antony, we buy Casemiro, we buy Onana, we buy [Rasmus] Hojlund, we buy [Jadon] Sancho. These are all things from the past, whether we like it or not, we have inherited those things and have to look it up.

“For Sancho, who now plays for Chelsea and we pay half of his wages, we pay £ 17 million to buy it in the summer.”

Although Onana probably seems to remain, the futures of the other players mentioned by Ratcliffe remain unclear. Antony – the most expensive recent purchase from the club – has already left the club, albeit on loan. United would probably consider permanent offers for the Brazilian this summer, despite its kind of Renaissance at Real Betis.

Casemiro is known as one of the highest earners in United. He too has indicated a desire to stay, but could be loaded with disputed interest from Saudi Arabia.

Rasmus Hojlund is expected to receive a delay despite a difficult season for the goal. But there is unlikely that there is a way back for Jadon Sancho – even if Chelsea takes place about the £ 25 million obligation to permanently sign the wing player at the end of the season.
