Five No10 targets for Tottenham after James Maddison injury blow

Tottenham has little time to lick their wounds about arch rivals arsenal that squeezes ebereechi eze from under noses.

A new NO10 remains the target before the transfer deadline closes in a week, despite the excellent start of Thomas Frank as Spursbaas.

Two victories of two against Burnley and Manchester City do not mask the need for more creativity.

Especially with James Maddison, 28, for most of the season with a serious knee injury.

And especially when the Hurly-Burly of a busy campaign with Champions League football kicks into gear next month.

Sunsport takes a look at some of the options that are considering traces.

Nico Paz

It is believed that traces have had a bid of around £ 50 million that Cesc Fabregas' Como has been hit for this exciting 20-year-old.

Paz showed why Tottenham likes him with a man-of-the-match display in Sunday's 2-0 win over Lazio. First he granted a brilliant assist for the opener of Tasos Douvikas, who turned around an opponent before sliding into an inch-perfect pass that opened the Lazio defense.

Then Paz curled a beautiful free kick with his wand from a left foot to wrap the victory with 18 minutes.

The problem for Tottenham is Real Madrid, who sold Paz to Como last year, seem enthusiastic about the signing of him in a year, so he can very well stay where he is now.

Boss Fabregas, formerly from Arsenal, of course said after the game: “I know that (PAZ) is very happy in Como, he wants to become a top player.”

Probability: 2/5

Maghnes Akliouche

Monaco's midfield magician, full of tricks and films, is a possible solution.

The impressive balmanipulation of the 23-year-old on both feet on speed in theory would fit well with Spurs' fleet-footed widemen.

Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert will know him well from the France under the age of 21, while Eric Dier is now a teammate at Monaco.

Akliouche would be available for around £ 60 million – comparable to what Tottenham was willing to spend on Morgan Gibbs -White and Eze.

Although there is currently no deal close, the Monaco man is perhaps the most likely candidate who fills the vacancy of Spurs in the attacks of midfield.

Probability: 4/5

Bilal El Khannouss

A movement that would see traces go from hijacked to Kaper.

After losing Arsenal for Palace's Eze, the option to follow the player on which the Eagles are aimed because Eze's replacement seems to be there.

Spurs only have to look back in January on their home defeat against Leicester for a reference about the quality of El Khannouss.

The Moroccan, 21, hit the second of the Foxes to complete an unlikely 2-1 turn and was omitted on Saturday from the 1-0 victory of Leicester in Charlton.

But sources have played the chance that Tottenham will actually go to the championship.

Probability: 2/5

Lucas Paqueta

Just like buses in Eastern, two transfers can come from West Ham to Spurs immediately, after an age without?

Mohammed Kudus' £ 55 million switch from the IJzers to Tottenham earlier this summer was the first since Scott Parker 11 years ago.

Following the catch of Ghanaese by landing Paqueta would also be a stunning turn of events.

Paqueta, finally past his spot-fixing Charge Hell, reminded the football world of his talent with a brilliant opener against Chelsea on Friday.

Unfortunately for West Ham they were eventually beaten 5-1 and watch two games in the season in Dire Straits.

Can they really afford to let go of such a talent when a possible fight for Prem Survival looks like the cards this season?

Probability: 2/5

Savinho

Technically, no NO10, but he could play there, Spurs bluntly yielded enough money to convince Man City to sell.

Pep Guardiola seems happy to keep the Brazilian, 21, which they only brought in from Sister Club Troyes last season.

Savinho itself is supposed to be open to the move. To come to traces would play him regularly, and in the Champions League, in a World Cup year.

After the disappointments of Eze and Gibbs-White, this transfer would be one to make Spurs fans enthusiastic.

Spurs may have to have their transfer record, currently set at £ 65 million for Dominic Solanke, in the past term, to land Savinho. But will they do it?

Probability: 3/5
