With the major European competitions now all done and sprinkled, it is time to unleash our team of the season for the 2024/25 campaign.
Just like our regular team of the week, we have chosen the next XI with the help of our internal player assessment system.
To select the side, we took the players with the best average match assessments of the top competitions around the world that have been completed. That is, constant competitions were not taken into consideration. What is more, cup and continental competitions were also not included.
To be eligible for the team, players had to achieve at least 25 match reviews in the 2024/25 campaign. It should be noted that the appearance of less than 10 minutes does not generate a match rating.
Here is our team of the season before 2024/25:
Our team of the 2024/25 season
Goalkeeper
Marcin Bulka (Nice) – 7.0 (average competition assessment in the domestic league season)
Our keeper of the season is Marcin Bulka, who was an important player for Nice in their run to fourth place and football from the Champions League in Ligue 1.
He was Rock-Solid during a competition campaign that he played every minute, and produced two excellent versions against PSG, scored 20 Saves and gave only two goals in the matches against the champions.

Honorable mention: An honorable mention here goes to Brentford's Mark Flekken, who made the same assessment as Bulka and our Premier League team of the season.
Defenders
Achraf Hakimi (PSG) – 7.5
Achraf Hakimi's most memorable performances This season may have come to the Champions League title in PSG's Run, but he was just as good in domestic action.
The full-back ended the season with 10 target contributions in 25 games and was a real creative force on the right wing, on average two important steps per match.

Nicloas Otamendi (Benfica) – 7.6
The highest rated defender in the top competitions this season was the Argentinian veteran Nicolas Otamendi, who remains a world -class centerback on the ripe age of 37.
Not only did he lead Benfica's Backline excellent, but he also appeared with six goals on the other side of the field. It is easy to see why he also remains an important player for Argentina.
Nicolas Otamendi was a vital player for Benfica all season
Davinson Sanchez (Galatasaray) – 7.5
Just like Otamendi, Davinson Sanchez is another defender who shows that there is life after the Premier League, with the former Tottenham player enjoying a hugely impressive campaign with Galatasaray.
The Colombian earned just as much as everyone else's medal, because he was a crucial part on the side with and without the ball in possession thanks to his burning pace and power.
Honorable mentions: Remarkable defenders who have narrowly missed our team were Nuno Mendes (PSG – 7.4), Olivier Boscagli (PSV – 7.4) and Maximilian Mittelstadt (Stuttgart – 7.4).
Midfielders
Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) – 7.7
An explanation for teenage sensation that Yamal is in our team of the season is not really necessary, but we will still give one.
Nine goals and 13 assists are a solid return, but no figures can do justice to what a natural force the right winger is.
Spain has not seen such an exciting talent since a young man named Lionel named De Scene in Barcelona on stage all those years ago.
Michael Olise (Bayern Munich) – 7.9
Flashscore's player of the season, according to our internal ratio system, is Michael Olise, who was simply dazzling in Bayern's recapture of the Bundesliga title.
Whether it played like a right winger or as number 10, the 23-year-old could not be stopped, collected 27 target contributions and created 32 big opportunities in 34 games.

Malik Tillman (PSV) – 7.7
In his second full season at PSV, the American midfielder Malik Tillman settled as De Sterman from the Dutch side when they won an exciting battle with Ajax to defend their competition title.
He led the show in the majority of the matches he played and was a real threat – it is no coincidence that the bad run of the club, which almost lost the title, came when he was injured.

Jamal Musiala (Bayern) – 7.7
He may have been somewhat overshadowed by Olise and Harry Kane, but Musiala largely flourished in his first season and played under Vincent Kompany in Bayern.
His best football came in the first half of the season, when he was consistently a real strength in the last third part, and although he did less for the goal after the turn of the year while struggling with injuries, he remained an important part of the side when he was suitable.
Honorable mentions: Remarkable midfielders who just miss our team were Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen – 7.5), Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig – 7.5) and Dani Olmo (Barcelona – 7.5).
Ahead
Omar Marmoush (Manchester City & Eintracht Frankfurt) – 7.7
Omar Marmoush was amazingly good in half the season that he spent in the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, with a remarkable average rating of 8.1 with 15 goals and nine assists in 17 games.
His level fell somewhat when he moved to Manchester City, but he still adapted to a new club and new competition extremely well and immediately became their most dangerous attacker. His total seasonal average brings him to our team prior to Mohamed Salah in Liverpool.
Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting CP) – 7.8
Viktor Gyokeres is linked to just about every big club that you can think in the summer transfer window, and you just have to look at the numbers to see why.
The Swedish striker led Sporting to the Portuguese title with an incredible 39 goals in 33 league games and also created many opportunities for teammates. The one who signs him gets one of the most deadly songs there are.

Ousmane Dembele (PSG) – 7.7
Ousmane Dembele is the favorite to win the Ballon d'Or, and that is not only because of his Champions League versions.
Absolutely enjoying his new role as the center of PSG's attack, the Frenchman enjoyed the best league campaign of his career to date, to take a goal every 83 minutes and to set up destruction time and time again. Kylian who?
Honorable mentions: Remarkable attackers who narrow our team were Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray -7.6), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool – 7.6) and Harry Kane (Bayern Munich – 7.6).
