Flick and Barca focused on Betis ahead of Champions League quarters

Hansi Flick insisted that Barcelona's full focus will continue to expand their lead at the top of the LaLala classification for their quarter-final collision of the Champions League.

Barcelona is confronted with Borussia Dortmund in the first stage of their last eight draw next Wednesday, but welcomes real betis in the Camp Nou this Saturday.

The Flick team is currently three points free of the second Real Madrid placed in the table and enjoy a nine-game winning run in Laliga.

Indeed, it is their longest series under a single coach in the competition since March 2016, when Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique was now at the helm (W12).

But Betis, who is in the division sixth, comes with confidence in the luminaire and have won their last six liga luminaires.

If they upset the competition leaders, they will establish their longest winning series ever in the top of the top light (also six in 1934, 1960 and 2018).

“We always focus on the next game, we don't look at Dortmund, far from. We are focused on betis and on getting new legs tomorrow,” Flick told reporters on Friday.

This season, Barcelona is haunting a quadruple of large trophies, after he had already lifted the Supercopa de Espana against Rivals Madrid in January.

They also booked their place in the final of the Copa del Rey, where they come across the side of Carlo Ancelotti, and are one of the favorites to win the Champions League.

Barcelona gets a 24% chance of lifting a sixth Champions League by the OPTA Supercomputer, the highest of each team left in the competition, with PSG in the second (19%).

“I feel that the team now believes in itself. My job is to remind them that we have to play and show what we are worth on the field,” said Flick.

“We are fighting for everything, we believe in ourselves and we want to win every competition.

“It is a long journey, there is still a long way to go (in Laliga). There are nine games left. They are games that can be won or lost.

“There are other teams that are in battle and who have the quality to win the title, not just Madrid and Barca.”

Flick also confirmed that Gavi would be available for Betis, where the midfielder missed their Copa del Rey Semi-Final victory over Atletico Madrid in midweek.

“It will be a difficult game. We also saw that in the Copa. The result did not represent how the game went. We have to play at our best against them,” Flick added.

“We have to manage the load of the players and tomorrow we will see what happens.”
