Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has given an interview to the Club Media Channel and discussed the team and their progress throughout the season. He had certain words of praise for Raphinha and Pedri, as well as any advice for Lamine Yamal.
The German coach explained that main fitness coach Julio Tous had already noticed him in the preseason that “with the things I see, I think we'll win La Liga.” It was a forward -looking opinion of Tous, while Flick and his staff a domestic treble brands.
Playing an instrumental role was Teen -Superster Lamine Yamal. In the heart of their creativity, and with a season full of large versions, he now spends a few well -deserved vacations with Neymar Junior in Brazil. Flick, however, had some advice for him.
“I often say it: he is a genius. And he is 17, we have to help him. So far everything is fine. If he wants to play at the highest level for the next 15 years, he has to train very well and prepare mentally. He is smart. It's not all about fun,” Sport quote.
“And players with his talent have to do that. He has good examples in the team, such as Raphinha, who also has a lot of faith in him.”
In particular, on Raphinha, Flick noted that he was very confident when he arrived at the club. The Brazilian has publicly noticed that if he was not for film, he would probably have left Barcelona last summer.
“I saw him play here for the first time and saw what kind of player he is. Very dynamic, making the last pass, the assisting of Lewandowski … I also saw that he needed confidence. He is Brazilian and therefore has quality, but he also brings heart, mentality and attitude. He always works defensive. He has a lot of potential.”
Pedri was one of the standouts of Barcelona again this season.
“He is brilliant. When Pedri has the ball, it is fantastic to watch. It is fantastic to have him in the team. Plus, in the coming years he can be one of the team leaders – he is only 22!”
For Flick, many of his challenge will find ways to retain the same level of his side and to take on new challenges for defenses. Towards the end of the season, he was also quite clear that there was room for defensive improvement. However, if he can maintain Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Raphinha at the same level, it will go a long way to a successful campaign.
