Hansi Flick knows that Barcelona will only be remembered for all the titles they win because they want to continue their red -hot form against Atletico Madrid in the semi -final of Copa del Rey.
Barcelona is on an undefeated 20-game run over all competitions and are the only team in Europe's top five competitions that still have to be losing in 2025.
They lead the road in Laliga and are heavy favorites to overcome Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals of the Champions League later this month.
And after a chaotic 4-4 draw in the first stage of their Copa similar game against Atletico, they travel to the capital on Wednesday with every chance to reach a domestic cup final.
“I'm hungry to win titles and we all go in,” said Flick at a press conference on Tuesday. “Tomorrow's game is like a final and it's a great opportunity for us.
“We are proud of this team and how we play. It is not because of happiness that we got that far: we earn it. I also want to thank everyone for their work. In every situation they gave the correct answer.
“Their attitude is always the same, they always give their best and never give up. The result, we will see.
“The team has improved and I told them. I am grateful for what they do. But this is football, so what does the titles count.
“But so far everyone is happy with the style, the game and how the players have improved. I am happy with the team and the atmosphere in the dressing room. We have to continue like this.
“We won the supercopa de Espana [against Real Madrid in January]But it's in the past. We want to reach the Copa final, but it will not be easy. “
The 139 goals of Barcelona in all competitions in 2024-25 are more than any other team from Europe's top five competitions.
But between them and the final there is an Atletico side that is desperate to keep their hope of silverware alive, to have been agreed in Laliga and have gone out of the Champions League.
Barca Top Laliga on 66 points from 29 games, with champions Real Madrid in second place at 63 and Atletico Third on 57 after not winning their last three games.
“It's the title closest to them,” said Flick. “One game and they are in the final, but it is also true for us.
'They have an experienced coach [Diego Simeone] And he knows how to win those games.
“There will certainly be more in Laliga, but Atletico has a fantastic coach, they know what they are playing for and they are convinced of what they do. They are there until the last minute, so it will be very difficult.”
