Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has bypassed the question of the club captain, in the midst of speculation that Marc-Andre ter Stegen will not remain in the position next season. The 33-year-old has stated that the relationship with the club is good, but there seems to be a constant gap between Ter Stegen and the club, who would like to see him leave.
There have been reports that Barcelona could remove the captain from Ter Stegen, unhappy with his actions in recent months. In the meantime, Ter Stegen is unhappy about the attempts of the club to expel him, and leaking stories about his character. Speaking for the second season of Barcelona against FC Seoul, Flick was asked if Ter Stegen Captain would remain.
“The team always decides the captains, as has been the case in the past. Usually two weeks before the start of the season,” said Flick de Pers.
