Barcelona's head coach Hansi Flick said that it is too early to say how likely that Barcelona will win three big titles this season after their 3-1 victory over Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday.
That victory achieved a 4-1 total victory for Barcelona and booked their place in a quarterfinals of the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund or Lille.
Barcelona is also unbeaten in 17 games in all competitions, while they are top of LaLiga and are also in the semi -final of the Copa del Rey.
“First things first, we must concentrate on the quarterfinals and are well prepared for the opponents with which we are confronted the following,” said Flick in the afterpath of the Benfica victory.
“The Champions League is the most difficult trophy that exists and certainly, we hope that we can keep going and be good enough to win everything, but that is still a long way to go.”
Barcelona will teach their opponents on Wednesday in the next round of the Champions League, while on April 2 they travel to Atletico Madrid for the second stage of their cup match after a 4-4 draw in the first stage.
In the meantime, only one point of Barcelona and the third placed Atletico Madrid separates in Laliga, with Real Madrid second only on goal difference. Flick's side, however, has a game in hand on both sides of Madrid.
But on Tuesday an excellent Barcelona Benfica dismantled thanks to a brace from Raphinha and an excellent individual goal by Lamine Yamal in an unbridled first half.
“I am happy, we respected Benfica, they did a great job, they made it difficult for us, but we did very well, I am proud,” said Flick.
“Lamine had not scored for a long time, six games and more than a month, so he is happy because it was a very important goal for us, a brilliant effort. We are all happy for him because he is a great child and a fantastic player.”
