“Some people will claim that Casemiro is lucky not to receive a second yellow card for different opinion,” former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg told United in Focus. “He had already been warned and clearly shows an act of frustration.
'There is a great balance between frustration and different opinion. We do not know what was said between the referee and the player, but the player certainly goes to the space of Jarred Gillett and therefore runs the risk of a yellow card.
'Probably in the mentality of the referee, he tries to manage – one of the areas that Premier League referees seem to do is try to manage conflict situations and try to manage some forms of deviating opinions. But he has certainly run the risk of getting a second yellow card and reducing Manchester United to 10 players. '
