With the return of the Premier League, including the long -term football of the BBC, Juggernaut, match of the day.
There were some major changes to start, whereby Gary Lineker had received the boot after 26 years, and fans derived their opinion.
The first episode of the New Look series was broadcast last night, after the Premier League promotion on Friday and Saturday.
Mark Chapman – one of the three presenters who, in addition to Gabby Logan and Kelly Cates, was taking over Lineker – was in the hot chair for the first episode of the Postlineker era.
He was accompanied in the studio by the usual suspect, Alan Shearer, and Wayne Rooney, who signed a £ 800,000 deal to regularly appear in the show for the coming season.
With new teams and players in the top flight there was of course a new intro compilation supported by the iconic competition of the day theme.
Burnley and Sunderland were welcomed back in the Premier League, with the last top of the program for their 3-0 hammering of West Ham, undoubtedly on the dismay of Newcastle Icon Shearer.
Chapman started the procedure with a joke about the changes, making Rooney the only real change before he added that Shearer was happy to see Sunderland again.
It turned out that Shearer had a moment of Choler in the show when he launched a huge anger about Toon Rebel Alexander Isak while the Swede continues to try to force an exit.
Shearer and Rooney discussed the situation of the 25-year-old, based on Rooney's own experience when he tried to stop Manchester United.
Fuming Shearer said: “Alex is not doing the right way at all and you have to feel sorry for the players and the manager.
“The players are nowadays a gut for the football club, for the thousands of fans who traveled the entire side to Villa Park today.
“Yet they look at another player, wherever he is, refuse to play despite having a three -year contract and with more than £ 100,000 a week …
“You can imagine that they (the fans) feel that someone is taking the freedom to say that I refuse to play.
“You just can't do that with a three -year contract.”
Fans gave a mixed judgment about the show to social media.
