A 19-year-old football player suddenly died after having suffered a mysterious disease for months.
Luca Manolache called his mother tragically at his last moments and expressed his concern that he might die from a nurse.
The cause of death of the teenager was put down on drowning on his own stomach acid and a severe lung infection, according to the judgment of the autopsy.
Reports suggest that he also suffered a raised aorta, which caused an internal bleeding.
His mother, Ana Maria Manolache and his father Vianel, have been completely destroyed about the tragic death of their son.
The former FCSB – formerly known as Steaua Bucharest – and Dinamo Player was extremely dedicated to his football and never enjoyed missing a single match.
On February 28, he started to feel seriously unwell while he called a family member, Ana's Peetzoon, an ambulance.
Ana told the local press that her son called her while she was in Bucharest, Romania, where she works.
While his condition deteriorated, Luca was scared in the short phone call and said, “Mom, Mom, I can't do it anymore”.
While Ana Press said he asked a nurse on the spot: “Do you think I'm going to die?”
While in the ambulance Luca began to complain that his vision was disappearing and that he could not see anything.
Ana hurried to be with her son who was transported to the County Hospital in Târgovi seat, Romania.
Unfortunately, she did not make it on time and Luca's sister called her to tell her that he had died.
Doctors worked hard to save his life, but his body began to respond negatively with his stomach acid, causing him to drown.
Doctors said Ana that the circumstances of her son's death were extremely rare.
Luca was a midfielder for Metaloglobus București, but had not played a single game since August 2024.
He was forced to stop playing because of a series of incidents that saw him suffer from long -term fatigue, dizziness and cold shivers.
The team and his parents started to note that he had trouble getting through even half of a football match.
His football coach started to believe that he was not well prepared for his football matches.
One competition even resulted in an ambulance that was mentioned as Luca complained that his vision had turned black and that he felt weak.
He would have convulsions and a high temperature, but X -rays of his lungs and blood tests all normally came back.
A physical test showed that he could only run on a treadmill for 10 minutes, and after stopping he immediately started shaking and he got a fever.
Doctors assumed that Luca should have a strong infection in the body, so they have given him antibiotics, paracetamol and painkillers.
Luca took these tablets for a short time and repeated repeated tests on his lungs, heart and gallbladder clearly came back.
One medical episode saw him spend two weeks in the hospital after he was admitted as an emergency.
A doctor discovered that he had some peripheral blood vessels in his lungs, but this was not seen as a serious issue.
He had injections and took some medication to prevent his blood from clot, a treatment he had for six months.
During this time he was forbidden to exercise and his parents even brought him to private clinics so that he could be investigated.
His death suddenly came and shocked his family members, but also his teammates with whom he played football.
Metaloglobus Bucureornti shared an emotional post on their Instagram in tribute to Luca just a few days ago, as reported by Needtoknow.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss,” they wrote.
“His love for football and his smile brought happiness to the field.
“The last performance in the Metaloglobus shirt was on August 24, 2024, in the match against CS Afumati, which played 10 minutes of the reserve position.
“After the match against CS Afumati, the player complained about fatigue during training, so that the technical staff would stop him from training and recommend thorough medical examinations.
