April Fools' Day jokes dominated social media on Tuesday morning, taking some fans of the opportunity to poke pleasure at Manchester United.
It has been a terrible season for the Red Devils, who are currently in 13th place in the Premier League table.
They seem to miss European football completely and have not come close to winning the Champions League since he lost in the final in Barcelona in 2011.
With this in mind they did not meet the criteria to participate in this summer's extensive club, but one X-account joked on Tuesday morning that they had received a late call-up.
The account with the name @footrankings, stated: 'Breaking: Manchester United plays at the club World Cup 2025 instead of kicking out Club León!

“Manchester United secure their place because of the number of global fans!”
Last week it was announced that Leon had been kicked out of the competition due to the violation of the regulations of FIFA around Multi-Club ownership. However, United is not in the race to replace them.
Meanwhile, Talksport presenter Jason Cundy was caught on a joke of April Fools who claimed that the three teams who were promoted to the Premier League will receive a three-point-head start next season.
All three promoted clubs were banned in the previous term, and the same seems to happen this season, in which Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton currently occupy the lower three places.
A fake report suggested that the sides that come up could get a helping hand before a ball was even kicked, which attracted a furious response from Cundy.

Popular ex-footballer and TV personality Chris Kamara also came up with the action when he went to X with some 'incredible news'.

More than three months later, he still seems to be in a good mood, although it seems unlikely that his joke will have caught many fans this time.
