Nottingham Forest missed the opportunity to reclaim fifth place in the Premier League after the equalizer of Facundo Buonanotte had taken a 2-2 draw for the relegated Leicester City on the city.
The loot was shared in the East Midlands Derby when Forest insured European football next season, but could not go back to the Champions League places.
Conor coady led Leicester in the front in the 16th minute with his first Premier League goal in more than two and a half years, but Morgan Gibbs-White nodded the level of the host of Anthony Elanga's free kick nine minutes later.
Chris Wood's 20th League target of the season seemed that it would seal all three points if he put a header home of Gibbs-White's 56th minute cross home.
The excellent individual effort of Buonanotte in the 81st minute, however, saved a point in front of Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was denied a late winner when Matz Sels saved from younger Jeremy Monga.
The men of Nuno Espirito Santo remain seventh after they were unable to jump Aston Villa and Chelsea, who were previously defeated by Newcastle United on Sunday. Leicester remains 19th, but moved on points with the city of Ipswich.
20 -Chris Wood, who now has 100 Premier League objectives (89 goals, 11 assists), is only the second player who scores 20+ goals for Nottingham Forest in a single season in the competition, after Stan Collymore in 1994-95 (22). Decisive. pic.twitter.com/5ygm75jofd

Data debrief: 20-target wood corresponds to collymore
Forest did not succeed in winning a Premier League match in which they were led by Newcastle United in February for the first time since their 4-3 defeat.
The hosts were disappointing when coady was on his way in his first goal in the division since the nets for Everton against Southampton in October 2022, two years and 222 days ago.
Forest, however, was again in flat terms when Gibbs-White went into a intersection of Elanga, who claimed his 10th assist of the season, a count that was only improved by Bryan Roy for Forest in a single Premier League campaign (11 in 1994-95).
Wood completed the Turnaround when he became the second forest player who scored 20 times in a Premier League season, after Stan Collymore 30 years ago, while it was his 100th goal -oriented involvement in the division (89 goals, 11 assists).
However, it turned out to be academic, because the equalizer of Buonanotte means that Nuno's side has now only won one of their last six games.
