Arsenal is on the market for various new players this summer, but a number of players could leave, including Fabio Vieira who will not get to FC Porto permanently
Fabio Vieira will start the preseason with Arsenal, because FC Porto confirmed that he will not do them again after taking the midfielder on loan for the 2024-25 season.
Vieira, 25, joined the Gunners back in the summer of 2022 in a relocation of £ 30 million from Porto with a five -year contract. But the Portuguese have difficulty meet the expectations of the Emirates and got the green light to provide its old club again last summer.
As part of the deal that brought him back to the Portugal, an option for Porto to make the move permanently was recorded.
But after reports from Europe earlier this week that Porto was not going to activate the option, they have now confirmed that Vieira is returning to North Londen.
Porto said on Tuesday in a statement: “The end of the 2024/25 season also marks the end of the Loan speaking of Fabio Vieira, who will no longer be part of the FC Porto team and returns to Arsenal.
“In loan of the Londoners since August 28, the 25-year-old midfielder scored five goals and gave six assists in 42 games during his second spell at the club.
“With the return from Fabio Vieira to England confirmed, FC Porto wishes him the very best for the future.”
Although it seems unlikely that Vieira has a good chance of saving his Arsenal career, the midfielder is now ready to start back in London Colney for the season, where the club is probably trying to look for another claimant for a player who has been left for his deal for two years.

The big focus at Arsenal, however, is now on income, while the men of Mikel Arteta are preparing to return for training later this month.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is already through the door with Crasshian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi who will probably follow, but the Gunners are still looking for a quality no. 9 and a new left wing player.
Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko are the two strikers that the club pursues, while Rodrygo is a target for the broad vacancy of Arsenal. Ebereechi Eze, the midfielder of Crystal Palace, is also a player who is considering signing the club this summer and conversations have already been held with the representatives of the English star about a possible movement.
