A former star Manchester United suffered a stunning fall from favor after he was previously tipped for 'Great' Things of ex-Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal.
The player seemed to have a bright future at the highest level when he broke in the first team in the first team in the 2014-15 season.
Tyler Blackett made 11 performances that season – because United Dun was left at Centrum -Backs after the departure of club legends Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.
According to the Daily Mirror, Van Gaal said about Blackett after making his debut for the Red Devils: “He is another young player who has risen by the Academy System to break into the first teams this season.”
“Tyler has a great potential and I believe he is at the right club to continue his development and progress to become a big defender.”
But Blackett was then lent to Celtic, but only made three performances on loan for the Scottish side in 2015-16.
However, he would enjoy regular minutes after a switch to Reading saw him make 110 performances over a period of six years with the Royals.
After the football was suspended after the start of the Coronavirus Pandemie in the last year of his contract, Blackett played both sides of a spell in the MLS with FC Cincinnati for Nottingham Forest and Rotherham.
However, he has been without a club since the end of last season after the South Yorkshire side chose to be not to be renewed.
Speaking with FlashScore in January about how he dealt without having a club, he said: 'I just get through – stay fit and training.
Just keep track of things and do what I can do to be ready when the right opportunity comes. It is now about waiting for the right fit.
“There has been some interest at different times, but it was not really suitable for me.”
