The Brazil's national team is now empty after the daring call to dismiss Dorvial Junior after a FIFA World Cup loss from 2026 for Argentina.
The main name in the frame seems to be Real Madrid -Baas Carlo Ancelotti in the midst of a long -running link between the Italian and the Samba boys.
CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues is said to still bring in Ancelotti, where former Los Blancos star Ronaldo Nazario claims that he helped to set up negotiations between the CBF and Ancelotti in 2023.
Those rumors were re -created by comments from Ancelotti's friend and journalist Alberto Cerruti, who claims that there has been a change in attitude towards the job of the lace -up coach.
“It is a story that never ends. A year ago he told me he didn't want to go to Brazil,” Cerruti explained in an interview with Cadena Ser, adding that Ancelotti's 'Dream' is to stay in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu forever.
“But he doesn't rule out the idea of Brazil. This is a new thing. The first option is Madrid, but if his relationship with Madrid unfortunately ends, he will not exclude the idea of going to Brazil.”
Ancelotti's attitude means that other names will be considered, whereby certain sections within Brazilian media still insist on a native candidate – regardless of the impressive CV of Ancelotti in Europe.
Former Atletico Madrid -defender Filipe Luis is mentioned in connection with the role with the former defender who won the Copa America 2019 as a Brazil international.
The ex-left back makes a strong name for himself as head coach of Flamengo and that is where his immediate future lies.
“I only think of Flamengo, with whom I have a contract”, according to quotes from Mundo Deportivo.
The 39-year-old only took the lead on the role in September 2024 and it is unlikely that Brazil will make a decision closer to the international window of June.
