Former Barcelona wing player Francisco Trincao has revealed that three days before he came to the club, he had no idea that they were even interested. The 25-year-old made a move of € 31 million to Barcelona from SC Braga in 2020, and would spend three years in the club, including two on loan at Wolves and then the current Side Sporting CP, before he made his move to Lisbon permanent .
Trincao had only played 47 senior matches for Braga and was as an established starter in his first season when he made the switch. He admitted that he himself was surprised by the switch.

Trincao has played 38 times for sports this season, and has contributed nine goals and 12 assists in the process. He moved to Os Leoos for a reimbursement of € 7 million, on top of a loan costs of € 3 million. The Blaugrana has also retained a 50% clause and have a return option on him.
