A former star Bayern Munich looked unrecognizable when he attended the club's 125th anniversary on Wednesday evening.
Organized in the Paulaner Nock Hall in Munich, the club held a big event to commemorate their history – with 650 invited guests from sport, politics and society.
Below that was an abundance of former and current Bayern players with people like Harry Kane, Manuel Neuer and Phillip Lahm all spotted in the night.
However, the center of the stars-littered line-up was a former Bayern Ace that left fans surprised with his unrecognizable look.
The player in question was none other than Sammy Kuffour – who won six Bundesliga titles and a Champions League during his time with the German champions.
The former defender, now 48 years old, wore an impressive blue blazer in the night together with silver pants, leaving some fans behind his identity.
Kuffour spent 10 years with the Bavarian giants where he made 277 performances and scored seven goals from his central defensive position.
He also won four DFB pokals during his time at the side.
Kuffour is also remembered to give an iconic picture during the final of the Champions League of 1999. He was seen in the grass and looked emotional after Manchester United had grabbed the trophy from Bayern's hands in a late comeback to seal the Treble.
Since he hangs his boots, Kuffour has boarded the field several times to participate in charity competitions organized by the German giants.
Elsewhere in the night, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen gave a passionate speech about the history of the club.
He said: 'It is important to have roots and a basis – and that's what we are celebrating today.
“FC Bayern is always characterized by innovation and passion – that has never changed in recent decades, it has made it great, and it must always stay that way.”
