Jude Bellingham has developed into a crucial player for Real Madrid in an incredible first 18 months in Spain.
Bellingham was named La Liga Player of the Season during his debut season of 2023/2024, scoring an impressive 19 goals from midfield.
That number was increased to 23 in all competitions as Bellingham sealed a remarkable double in La Liga and UEFA Champions League at the end of the season.
The England star has continued his strong form, with nine goals so far in the 2024/2025 season, and the club's move for him seems fully justified.
Real Madrid's move to Bellingham came under scrutiny in 2023, when they paid Borussia Dortmund €103 million to sign him, as part of a major investment in his expected impact.
The deal has worked out for all parties and former Manchester United star Dwight Yorke has highlighted how that brutal policy is no longer in place at Old Trafford.
“For a great player you have to go bankrupt, like Real Madrid does. Bellingham would be a perfect player for United, but I'm sure he wants to stay in Madrid for a few more years,” said Diario AS.
“United would have to pay around €180 million to have a chance of signing Bellingham and that won't happen.”
Bellingham is under contract at Madrid until 2029 and United would have to pay at least the amount suggested by Yorke to encourage a sale.
