Former UFC champion claims Dana White personally shut down his potential return… ‘This is how I know Dana hates me’

A former UFC champion never returned to the Octagon after saying goodbye to the promotion in 2008.

Dana White has not always seen an eye to eye with every member of the selection, where some UFC stars are more difficult to work with than others.

For many hunters it is just a company and that allows them to have a working relationship with the promotion, but that is not always the case.

The UFC -CEO has had a number of tense relationships in the past, with Tito Ortiz recently declaring that he wants to bury the hatchet with White after their enormous rivalry.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia received his release from the UFC in 2008 and although conversations about him possibly returned a few years later, it never happened.

Tim Sylvia says that Dana White has prevented him from returning to the UFC by not signing his agreed contract

In a recent performance on the Jaxxon -Podcast, Tim Sylvia spoke about how the UFC was not happy with him who signed with Upstart MMA Promotion statement after they have granted his release.

The 49-year-old is surprised to this day why the UFC had the feeling that he “tried to fuck them” after they declared that they would not sign him again at a time when he had one more fight about his contract.

Sylvia continued about how he had conversations in 2011 with the promotion about return to the Octagon after the purchase of StrikeForce.

The manager of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion threw conditions that after a proposed return against Daniel Cormier, they would get a total of three fights, regardless of the results.

Sylvia said that while the UFC was in accordance with this deal, matchmaker Sean Shelby claimed that there was a delay to get it because Dana White had not had time to sign it.

When there was no update for less than a week, she stood out again, where Shelby replied that White would not sign to the contract, giving him a chance to return.

The relationship between Tim Sylvia and Dana White is not healed, because what has led to the tension between them in the first place.

However, Sylvia is happy to continue this and to accept that they have had their differences in the past, but it is now behind them.

The former champion who was specifically stated during his appearance on the Jaxxon Podcast that he hopes to be in the UFC Hall of Fame for what it would mean for his family.

Unfortunately, given what happened in the past, this is currently looking unlikely.

“It is what it is. I have no problem with him, I am too old to have a resort. To be honest, I want to go into the Hall of Fame for my son a bit, so I think I have a little black.”
