Former UFC champion takes credit for giving Khamzat Chimaev a secret weapon that’s changed his prediction for UFC 319

Khamzat Chimaev is only a few weeks away from his first UFC title fight.

While Chimaev has traded with Paulo Costa this week, he is aimed at the opposite Dricus du Plessis for the middleweight belt on UFC 319.

The biggest question for many fans on their way to this fight, as Luke Rockhold recently spoke, is whether Chimaev's Cardio will stand if the game goes in the later rounds.

'Borz' has proven to be incredibly dangerous at the start of the fight, but Du Plessis has shown that he can compete during the full duration of five rounds with a steady output.

Chimaev has joined forces with various remarkable names during the preparation of August 16 in the US, where he might have collected some extra tools.

TJ Dillashaw expects that Khamzat Chimaev's cardio will be greatly improved by its UFC 319 training camp

In a recent performance on the Overdogs -Podcast, TJ Dillashaw gave his opinion about the coming middleweight title fight.

The former UFC Bantamweight Champion recently placed a photo of him that was next to Khamzat Chimaev during the Challenger training camp.

During the podcast, Dillashaw admitted that he originally predicted that Dricus du Plessis would successfully defend the belt because of his superior cardio.

His position, however, changed after he introduced Chimaev to a person who had a major impact on his own career.

Both Chimaev and Arman Tsarukyan recently worked in the Treigning Lab under Sam Calavita, who played an important role in changing Dillashaw's approach to strength and conditioning.

“I met him and I introduced him to this guy, Sam Calavitta … So Chimaev is doing it now and I very much suspect that he will have an incredibly better gas tank for his next fight and I think he will win …

The recurring shoulder problems of TJ Dillashaw began to give him problems after a game about 'the ultimate fighter'

The UFC career of TJ Dillashaw came to an early end because of an accumulation of injuries, which meant that he could not compete.

The former champion spoke about this during the podcast when he outlined his current career path outside the competition, and stated that he cannot even comb his hair with his left hand because of his shoulder problems.

Dillashaw also revealed that his recurring shoulder problems started a problem during his time coaching on 'The Ultimate Fighter', instead of everything he did in the Octagon.

“In 2017 I disrupted my shoulder again to challenge the coaches [Cody] Garbrandt. We had to play Tether Ball on a balance beam, like a gymnastics balance beam and we are above a swimming pool. I started to fall off and catch myself and I disrupted my shoulder from the back and since then it gave me problems. ”

After returning to the Octagon in 2021 after a few years, Dillashaw took twice before he retired.
