With Conor McGregor's potential fight against Logan Paul in earnest, it's being questioned by former UFC two-time champion Daniel Cormier.
Earlier this week, Conor McGregor announced that he is in talks to take on WWE superstar Logan Paul in the boxing ring, rather than returning to the UFC afterwards.
Bloody Elbow sources understand that Paul has been approached about the potential boxing fight against the Irishman and is currently in discussions.

Daniel Cormier questions Conor McGregor's decision to fight Logan Paul
It's been over three years since Conor McGregor last entered the Octagon when he broke his ankle in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier.
Since then, the 36-year-old has claimed several times that he will return, but the closest we came to seeing the former double champion in the Octagon was last June, when he was just two weeks away from his highly anticipated fight against Michael Chandler. .
After withdrawing from the fight due to a broken toe, fans once again lost hope that we would ever see McGregor back under the UFC banner.
Despite this, with McGregor now in talks to take on Logan Paul in the boxing ring, former two-time champion turned UFC commentator Daniel Cormier has questioned the legitimacy of the Irishman's announcement.
“We talk about impact. That just tells you the impact of Conor McGregor,” Cormier told MMAJunkie.
“Conor McGregor has told us a lot of things over the last three years. None of them have come to fruition. I have to see it to believe it,” he continued.
After UFC Tampa last Saturday, UFC CEO Dana White revealed he is working on a “crazy fight” that “no one would see coming,” which was later confirmed to be the McGregor vs. Paul fight.
“I think he's going to fight in the Octagon. However, I think he should. If Conor McGregor wants that, he needs to wash off some of the stench of everything that happened outside the Octagon. Where he found his home is in that cage, and I think he's going to have to come back there at some point,” he continued.
Logan Paul drops a huge McGregor fight hint during the WWE promo
'The Maverick' recently put down the boxing gloves in exchange for the tight Lycra as he has become a huge star in the WWE, which is now owned by TKO, the same company that owns the UFC.
Despite this, Paul announced on his podcast last week that he had retired from the WWE after recently becoming a father.
However, with Monday Night Raw set to move to Netflix in 2025, Paul took part in a Kickoff event last Wednesday, announcing that he is no longer retired and will be joining the Raw roster in January.
During his promo, Paul dropped a famous McGregor reference, drawing on his speeches before a big fight against the former UFC champion.
“I'm a bully and the WWE is my playground. So look, I'm not here to participate, I'm here to take over. Your approval means nothing to me, whether you love me or hate me, I don't care,” Paul said.
McGregor famously dropped the line in 2014 after knocking out Diego Brandao in the first round of their main event in Dublin, Ireland.
