The nominations for the Ballon d'Or are gone, and many French players are recognized for their performances in the past year.
A total of four France are internationals on the side of men in the race for the Ballon d'Or, who is twice as much as they had on the mood last year.
Together with England, they are the most well -proposed nominees on the shortlist of 30, with the three lions with Jude Bellingham (22), Harry Kane (32), Declan Rice (26) and Cole Palmer (23).
Here is a breakdown of the French players who are in the race for the Ballon d'Or prize and in which respective categories. The winners will be unveiled in Paris on September 22.
Men's balloon d'Or
Of the four nominees that the French brag in this category, the leading candidate is probably Ousmane Dembélé (28), who was the Ligue 1 player of the year last season and Joint Top Goalscorer (21 goals). He was an integral part of Paris Saint-Germain when they first won the UEFA Champions League title.
Also in the mix is Desiré Doué (20), who scored six times on PSG in Ligue 1 last season and had a brace and had an assist with their 5-0 Smashing of Inter in the Champions League final.
PSG's record goal scorer Kylian Mbappé (26) is also on the list, with the French captain who records the European Golden Shoe in his first season in Real Madrid, while they were called their player of the season.
The completion of the French nominees is Michael Olise (23), who played an integral part in the Bundesliga-title-winning campaign of Bayern Munich with 12 goals, while he was one of the best in Take-on last season.
Several other players who occur in France are on that list, such as Gianluigi Donnarumma (26), Achraf Hakimi (26), Fabian Ruiz (29), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24), Joao Neves (20), Nuno Mendes (23) and Vitinha (25).
No French player has won this prize since Karim Benzema (37) in Real Madrid in 2022.
Ladies Ballon d'Or
On the women's side, two French players have the chance to claim the balloon d'Or. Sandy Baltimore (25) scored four times in 15 ladies Super League (WSL) performances for Chelsea on their way to those who claim another title.
She also yielded five times for Les Bleues at the previous UEFA Nations League tournament and had the winner in their 2-1 upset victory over future champions England in the euro this summer.
Clara Mateo (27) was also nominated after leading Paris FC to the Coupe de France Féminine last season and was named the Première Ligue team of the season.
Lindsey Heaps (31) in Olympique Lyonnais Féminin is also a nominee and scores 11 times in 12 league games for them last season.
Herenkopa -Trophy
In this category there are two French people on the mood. Doué can have the best chance to win this prize, given his versions at such a young age, although Barcelona's Lamine Yamal (18) will be the overwhelming favorite in this category.
Lille OSC's Ayyoud Bouaddi (17) was also recognized as one of the best Young Men's Players, making 24 club appearances. Doué's PSG teammate, João Neves, is also on the list of three goals in 29 Ligue 1 performances a season ago.
Yashin trophy for men
Lucas Chevalier (23) was rewarded for his strong season in Lille, where he was named Ligue 1 -goalkeeper of the Year, and he is one of the top 10 players who have been nominated for top goalkeeper. He had 11 clean sheets in the previous top campaign.
It is not surprising that Donnarumma is also on the list, after a beautiful Champions League campaign where he was one of the heroes, especially in their victory of coming over Liverpool in the round of 16.
Men's coach of the year
While no Frenchman in this category was nominated, the man who led PSG to European Glory has a good chance of winning this prize.
Luis Enrique played an important role in their success last season, when they won their very first continental Treble and the competition, the Champions League and the Coupe de France won.
Ladies coach of the year
Former French international Sonia Bompastor is a deserving candidate for the women's coach of the year. In her first season that was in charge of Chelsea, she stepped in the shoes of legendary coach Emma Hayes and kept winning.
Under Bompastor, the Chelsea women won another WSL -Kroon and remained unbeaten along the way.
Men's team of the year
With all the trophies they collected last season, it is no surprise that PSG was on this list of five and won the Trofée des Champions, together with the Champions League and Ligue 1 -Kronen.
They were also finalists at the Club World Cup, the first French side that participated in that tournament.
Women's Team of the Year
Although they do not claim any European silverware, the Lyon women still had a strong 2024-25 campaign and they are one of the five teams on the shortlist for this prize.
Last season they won a record 18th domestic title in the competition and made the semi -finals of the Champions League and won the second game along the way.
