Francis Ngannou breaks social media silence as UFC return rumors lead to Jon Jones call out

Francis Ngannou has posted on social media in the midst of links to a UFC fight with Jon Jones.

The PFL Heavyweight Champion has to deal with intense personal problems in 2025.

After the tragic death of his 15-month-old son, the former UFC superster was involved in a fatal traffic accident.

So, keeping fans informed by posting on his various social media channels has not been paramount in the spirit of Francis Ngannou.

Francis Ngannou speaks after Jon Jones calls

On Friday, the Cameroonian Knock outpartist published for the first time in two weeks on Instagram.

Ngannou shared various photos of him who worked on his boxing skills with his 7.2 million followers.

“Life is a tough opponent, but you have to keep fighting, whatever happens,” he subtitled the post.

Of course the top commentary asked: “If you fight when you fight [Jon] Jones, champion? “

On the same day, Jon Jones Ngannou spoke as a 'really super fight' after he refused to see the interim-heavyweight title holder Tom Aspinall in a UFC Unification Fight.

“I hear that Francis Ngannou is still interested … Now we are talking,” the UFC tweeted heavyweight champion.

“That is a really super fight. A collision of champions, not only hype. He held the UFC rim, I defended mine for more than a decade. Two kings of different ways. Not just one legend with a mouth now called is, but two real inherits collide.

“That is the kind of fight that actually adds something special to my story. At least from my point of view.”

What did Francis Ngannou's UFC Return started?

Ngannou and the UFC went through a bitter split when he refused to sign a new deal in 2023.

'The Predator' currently has an MMA deal with PFL, where he is expected to fight at least once this year.

The coach of Ngannou, Eric Nicksick, recently opened the door for a shock return to the UFC.

“Enough time has passed, I would like to see these fences repair and go back to competing in the UFC,” Nicksick told Home of Fight.

“I think it is more about things than ego, at least it is on the part of Francis. Where does his motivations come from? It's not about money, it's about competition. And the best competition is in the UFC.”
