Frenkie de Jong gives agent terms for future ahead of Barcelona negotiation

Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong looks like he will continue his relationship with the club after the end of his current contract, despite all the prognostics only six months ago. The Dutchman has expressed the wish to stay in the club, and his agent, Ali Dursun, must negotiate with Barcelona Director or Football Deco before the summer.

That was known before, because in recent months De Jong and Barcelona have been more aligned with the return of the Dutchman to Hansi Flick's Start XI. Now again located next to Pedri in midfield, the 27-year-old looks like he has a future in Catalonia again.

According to MD, it is the only thing that Dutch International sees for itself. De Jong reportedly said agent Ali Dursun that he does not want to listen to offers from other clubs, and that his priority is to renew his deal with Barcelona and continue in the Catalan club.

Despite the reported interest of Manchester United, Liverpool and Saudi Aarabia, it seems that De Jong will again disappoint his lovers. Barcelona is certainly open to sell him on several occasions, but his desire to stay in the club that he grew up, held admiration in the light of a lot of media speculation.

Only a few months ago it was reported that De Jong could leave for only € 20 million, if he approaches the last year of his contract. However, the latter is that Barcelona will only consider an offer 'above the market value' for De Jong, although negotiations were to collapse that would again push his future into question. Deco has made it a priority to allow none of the stars of Barcelona in the last year of their contract, albeit with the instructions of De Jong to Dursun, that should be avoided.
