Both David Moyes and Arne Slot complained the referee decision on Wednesday evening after the 1-0 victory of Liverpool over Everton in the Merseyside Derby.
Furious Moyes claimed that the winner of Diogo Jota should have been excluded by VAR for a 'Clear Offsom', while Slot was frustrated by James Tarkowski who escaped a red card for a horror challenge.
Liverpool stretched their grip on the top position in the Premier League with a huge victory on Wednesday evening, so that their lead was postponed to 12 points after the 2-1 victory of Arsenal over Fulham on Tuesday.
The toffees frustrated their bitter rivals in the first half with a chased defensive version and could have went during the break during the break, because Beto had not wasted his glorious chance against the woodwork after he had shaken Virgil van Dijk on the counterattack.
Just before the hour for the hour, Liverpool hit Jota, who slalomed through a sea of Everton shirts in the penalty box before he left Jordan Pickford in the Toffees Net.
Jota received possession after Everton defender James Tarkowski intercepted the ball on the edge of the area and briefly spent it in the direction of teammate James Garner, in an attempt to keep Luis Diaz in Liverpool who returned in the direction of an offside position.
However, because Diaz had not made a clear movement or gesture to the ball, officials were of the opinion that the Colombian had not derived from the game and that the pass of Tarkowski was not made as a result of the offside the attacker.
Moyes was furious with the decision, which eventually cost Everton a point on Anfield, and pronounced his anger during an interview after the game with Sky Sports.
“There is an offside that they get and that was the difference tonight,” Moyes reluctantly told the interviewer.
Asked to work out, he added: 'I think the player behind Tarkowski (Diaz) interfers with him. I think it is a clear offside, a very easy decision to give and I can't understand any reason why that would not have been given as offside. None at all. '
Speaking with the media after the game, De Schot said: 'He is offside, yes. I didn't look for an explanation, but I said I am disappointed.
'It's pretty easy to give. Diaz comes from behind. I don't think many managers think they come here and get positive decisions at Anfield. But I think it was pretty simple. He was along the line and it is very easy to give offside. I wasn't sure how well the lines did their work. There were early flags, late flags. '
According to the prime minister League's offside regulations, a player who is punished by the referee justifies as she:
Thinking about the rules of the game, former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher said: 'Tarkowski probably won't go to the ground if Diaz is not there. He probably just knew the ball on the field.
'But the fact that Luis Diaz does not make any movement at the ball, if you look at the rules, there was no way in which this would ever be destroyed.
'If you go through the rules, you say that it is not a mistake because it is not in an offside position. Tarkowski is well aware that he is there and makes a game to hit it in Garner. It is brilliant by Jota and probably the only big chance that Liverpool had in the game, certainly until that phase.
'There was something similar that I think with Liverpool and Harry Kane a few seasons ago, and I think Tottenham got the goal that day.
'I think that is a goal when you go through the Rulebook, but I actually think it is unfair to defenders when a cross comes in and you see a defender challenging it, or when they go for the ball on full rack because an attacker is there and they do not make an attempt for the ball.
'I think that is very unfair, but that (Jota) is a bit different because Tarkowski is not in a completely strange position or something, he is still trying to play that ball in Garner.
'It is one of those where if it goes against you, you are frustrated. But I think most people would like that. '
Slot also remained disappointed by the official after the game, which was hurt that Tarkowski had not shown a red card from VAR after a nasty, late challenge on Liverpool -midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
Everton's stand-in skipper made the ball free in the 11th minute, but launched off the ground and clattered in Mac Allister with his sequel, on which Slot said: “Even people who don't like Liverpool say how clear and clear (a red card) it was.”
Carragher, surprised that it was only awarded with a yellow card by Samuel Barrott and Var Paul Tierney, said on Sky Sports: “It's a shocking tackle, it should be a red card.”
In the meantime, fellow expert and former Eerton attacker Duncan Ferguson said that the challenge “could have been a leg breaker.”
Former Manchester United -defender Gary Neville added: 'He is very lucky. Believe me as a defender, you don't have to follow that way. '
With the 1-0 win, Liverpool places a difficult period behind them, so she lost the Carabao Cup final to Newcastle and also fell into the hands of Paris Saint-Germain from the Champions League.
Speaking after the victory, Slot added: '(Everton has) a very good manager that she brought back to life. The amount of shots they blocked, the efforts they made in it.
'Our boys showed a huge character, we made more than we play in the road. We scored a good goal.
'I love much more what I saw here than playing away. I could feel that we were getting closer.
'They almost never give a goal because they have placed so many players around the 18-year box. We knew that if we wanted to win the game, we had to hold a clean slate. '
Regarding the competition winner Jota, Slot said: 'Very satisfied, he was close by in the first half. Defensively they are an incredibly strong team. Now he found a little space and scored the goal, which was fun for him, but fun for us, the teammates the staff and the fans. '
