Furious Pep ‘on verge of tears’ & hurls water bottle as City fall apart AGAIN

PEP GUARDIOLA was on the verge of tears as he watched his Manchester City side flop AGAIN.

Before the trip to Villa Park, City had endured a horror run of just one win from eleven games in all competitions.

After a full week's rest, with City not involved in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, they might have hoped to play their way out of the rut.

However, Guardiola and his staff were once again left in the doldrums as Unai Emery's Aston Villa undid the Cityzens.

Jhon Duran had the chance to give Villa the lead after just eleven seconds, but was denied by the fingertips of Stefan Ortega.

But when Morgan Rogers was found with a brilliant line-breaking pass, he was on hand to direct the ball across goal to the supporting Duran, who fired the shot correctly to make it four goals in as many starts.

Guardiola, irritated by his side's lack of ability to get back into the game, was seen on the touchline with a somber expression and was also seen throwing a water bottle as his anger got the better of him.

The footage was quickly shared on social media, with fans believing the Spanish tactician was close to tears.

A rival fan said: “Seeing Pep Guardiola on the verge of tears like that gives me a crazy dopamine rush lmao.”

A second said: “We used to see pictures of it all the time [Erik] Ten Hag likes this every week; Now that he is gone, we see pictures like this from Pep Guardiola every week.”

A third said: “Pep Guardiola actually looks on the verge of tears here. The city is cooked.”

Another said: “Look at Pep man, he looks like he wants to cry.”

City's battle continued after half-time before ex-City Academy star Rogers ran past his defender and then fired a shot into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.

After the goal, we heard Villa fans chanting: “You'll be fired tomorrow morning.”

Phil Foden scored his first goal of the season in the second minute of stoppage time to give City late hope of a comeback, but Villa cleared the lines and retained all three points with a 2–1 win.

And the result means they have already suffered twice as many losses this season as they did all of last season, with just one win in twelve, with nine of those games ending in defeat.
