Angry Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou snapped back at a BBC reporter after his side's 3-2 defeat to Everton.
Postecoglou's side are in 15th place in the Premier League after their twelfth league defeat of the season.
Pressure is mounting on the Tottenham boss and he was involved in an argument with a journalist after the match at Goodison Park.
Postecoglou objected to the journalist starting the interview by saying it was a 'familiar story' that Tottenham would lose.
The journalist said: 'Ange, familiar story. What is your assessment of that performance please?'.
Postecoglou disagreed with the question and said: 'Familiar story?
The interviewer explained his choice of words and said, “Well, in terms of defeat.”
That led to a sarcastic response from Postecoglou, who said: 'Yes, okay. Great way to start an interview.'
Postecoglou then commented on his team's performance, admitting that some of his tactical decisions, such as playing a back three, did not have the desired effect.
He said: 'Yes look, it was a difficult result for us. It is clear that we struggled to control the game in the first half. I made some changes to the team that probably weren't helpful in the end.
'I had players who struggled to cope and couldn't benefit from it. The players gave the right response in the second half.'
Tottenham trailed 3-0 at half-time as they endured a dismal first half.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin put Everton ahead and Iliman Ndiaye made it 2-0 before an Archie Gray own goal compounded Tottenham's misery.
Tottenham managed to reduce the deficit in the 77th minute through Dejan Kulusevski and they were given hope of a comeback when Richarlison scored in stoppage time against his old club.
However, Everton held on and secured all three points, adding to Postecoglou's misery.
Tottenham went into the match on the back of a 2–1 defeat to rivals Arsenal in the North London derby.
With his team still plagued by injuries, Postecoglou needs reinforcements in the closing stages of the transfer window.
Tottenham are in action in the Europa League on Thursday when they challenge Hoffenheim.
