Bryce Mitchell Reveals How Close Gracie's Arm Bar Was At UFC 310
Only six significant strikes, 0 successful takedowns and a whopping two seconds of control time before being knocked out, Kron Gracie's performance at UFC 310 was laughably bad.
In fact, Bryce “Thug Nasty” Mitchell's only moment of danger came when he willingly gave up his limb on an arm bar attempt, a submission that admittedly came a little too close for comfort.
'If I had struck an attitude [up] Man, he would have broken my arm,” Mitchell explained to TNT Sports after completing the brutal knockout victory.
“I've trained with some of the best, if not the best, arm bar specialists in the world and it just took every bit of knowledge, patience and wisdom [to get out] … About a minute before he got me in, I knew I was in trouble. So leading up to all those series I was actually trying not to give up on my back.
“I felt the option was: 'Give up the back or let him go for the arm.' My instincts told me, 'Don't give this man your back or he'll break your neck' and my instincts made him grab my arm and they did everything they could to keep my arm safe – but it was really close.”
Fans let Kron 'Disgracie' know their feelings after knockout loss at UFC 310
Given the nature of Gracie's performance, in addition to the controversy surrounding the main card placement of his fight with Mitchell, it's no surprise that UFC fans are furious with the Brazilian.
Even a quick scroll through the comments section of his latest Instagram post can be difficult to read, with one fan calling Kron a “Disgracie,” while another adds, “Your performance was incredibly disappointing. The reactions don't lie.”
“I don't like to hate fighters, except Jesus Christ. I'm so glad you got knocked out.”
“It's so entertaining to watch you get knocked out. Nice guard pull.”
“You have the worst fighting style for UFC.”
“Bro, it was amazing when you jumped over the guard and then put the guard on your back like a white belt and took a hit. That was great, a great strategy clown.”
“The classic Gracie BJJ style is gone in no time. Pulling a guard like that no longer works. The average MMA wrestler simply has too much wrestling skill.
The backlash continues on almost every social media platform, with X (Twitter) being particularly vicious after UFC 310.
Respect to Kron Gracie. He took a beating from Cub Swanson, got a big break to recover and hone his skills and made sure he came back even worse.

Nice that they moved Evloev and Sterling to the prelims so Kron Gracie could guard the main card! #ufc310

Following the knockout victory over Gracie at UFC 310, Bryce Mitchell would not only apologize to Joe Rogan for his previous comments, but he would also be called up for a fantastic featherweight match against 'The Korean Superboy'.
