Gabbia insists AC Milan players sorry over Fonseca axe

Fonseca was fired on Monday and replaced as coach of AC Milan by Sergio Conceicao.

Gabbia told MilanPress: In the dressing room we honestly haven't talked about this, we have no official communication about this. So far I am with the coach, as is the whole team.

“We are disappointed and bitter about the draw. We are not happy with the result of the match, this is what I can obviously say about what happened tonight.

“I don't have to make these decisions, I have to be by the Mister's side at all times, and above all, the coaching change is also a defeat for us. That is why I will never think that it is necessary to change coaches, because I feel primarily responsible for the situation we find ourselves in.

“For me, we must try to do better, unite and consolidate. What I can say is about the match, the rest of Milan's decisions are not made by me.”
