Arsenal -wing player Gabriel Martinelli is over a month after a hamstring injury during the Carabao Cup defeat on his side to Newcastle on Wednesday.
Arsenal is already without striker Gabriel Jesus for the rest of the season because of an ACL injury, while winger Bukayo Saka is not expected to return from his hamstring problem until mid-March at the earliest.
The club was not successful in their attempts to sign a new attacker in January and only had Kai Havertz as a recognized striker.
Martinelli, who traveled to their training camp in the warm weather in Dubai with the rest of the Arsenal team, could possibly miss crucial Premier League matches against Leicester City, West Ham and Nottingham Forest in February.
The 23-year-old would also be a doubt for matches against Manchester United and Chelsea-Live on Sky Sports-De Next month, as well as Arsenal's Champions League Last-16 draw that will be held at the beginning of March.
Martinelli was replaced by Ethan Nwaneri in the 37th minute in St James' Park after held the back of his thigh.
Arsenal is in second place in the Premier League, six points behind leaders Liverpool who have a match in hand.
The Gunners flew to Dubai on Thursday with Mikel Arteta and his staff who supervise their first training session on Friday.
Saka and Martinelli traveled with the group, but were not depicted in the training, although Ben White was involved in his return from the knee operation.
