According to Florian Plettenberg, Galatasaray is engaged in “concrete discussions” to sign Paris Saint-Germain central defender Milan Škriniar (29).
The Slovakia international has fallen down the pecking order at Luis Enrique's Les Parisiens, with captain Marquinhos and Willian Pacho working together at the back most of the time. With Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Hernandez returning from injury and Lucas Beraldo also part of PSG's squad, Škriniar is expected to remain out of favor with the Ligue 1 champions.
After playing just five games all season and amassing 381 minutes of playing time, none of which came in the UEFA Champions League, Škriniar is open to leaving PSG, unlike in the summer when he was keen to leave the transfer succeed.
Plettenberg understands that there is a good chance that Škriniar will leave Les Parisiens in January. 'Concrete discussions' are now taking place between PSG and Galatasaray about a move. The central defender is open to a move to the Turkish club next month.
