Spain -captain Alvaro Morata remains in transfer Limbo in Galatasaray while pushing to join the Side Como Serie.
The 32-year-old has passed a frustrating 12 months after an excellent 2024, where he led the Spain side of Luis de la Fuente to the UEFA Euro 2024 title.
After that tournament success, Morata chose to go further from Atletico Madrid to join AC Milan prior to the 2024/25 season, a decision that he later regretted about making.
After he had trouble getting a regular starting place at the San Siro, he was borrowed from Galatasaray halfway through the season and won the Turkish title.
However, Galatasaray has other plans for the 2025/26 campaign, whereby the club now agrees to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Morata stays in the cold, while former Spain teammate Cesc Fabregas seems to bring to Como.
AC Milan and Como reportedly agreed a deal to share his wages for the 2025/26 season, because Morata seems to stay at a world cup place next summer.
“The agreement with Alvaro Morata is ready. He is agreed conditions and we have reached an agreement with AC Milan. We are waiting for Galatasaray to speak with Milan, we did our work,” said Como President Mirwan Suwararo.
However, with his loan in Galatasaray that runs until the end of 2025, the situation has become complicated because the side of Okan Buruk demands € 8 million to release him.
Galatasaray paid an initial loan costs of € 6 million in January, and they want that back, plus € 2 million on the basis of wages that have already been paid to Morata via Marca.
AC Milan has quoted a purchase clause of € 10 million for the following summer, but that is only due in June 2026, which means that the Italian giants have to pay the requirements of Galatasaray to keep the agreement on the right track, because the Saga threatens to rid the plans of the new season.
