Napoli has warned Manchester United that they would be willing to omit the transfer of Alejandro Garnacho if the price became too high.
The leaders of the Serie A have emerged as serious contenders for the signature of twenty -year -old before the end of the winter period. Garnacho is expected to leave after he has had trouble impressing the new boss Ruben Amorim.
The Argentinian is seen as an ideal replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month. But sporting director Giovanni Manna of Napoli has said that his team will not pay for the expectations of the United star, after a bid of € 50 million was already rejected.
In a conversation with Dazn he said: “These are two names [Garnacho and Karim Adeyemi] They are interesting for us, they are players we like, but they are not the only ones. We try to evaluate a few things and look at the opportunities, but we will certainly not pay prices that are outside the market value.
'We did this sale [Kvaratskhelia] Unfortunately, that was necessary for what the player wanted and our dynamics. We will respect our parameters, not only for the transfer fee, but also for the salary.
“We are evaluating a number of situations. It would not be correct to give our fans false hope, but we will certainly do what is best to improve the team.”
United would demand around £ 70 million if they sell Garnacho in the coming week. And although Napoli contenders is on the services of Garnacho, the same can be said for Premier League-rival Chelsea.
The Blues are an eye on a transfer, where United may be interested in a takeover for Christopher Nunku. Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was recently asked for a possible deal for Garnacho and although he did not completely exclude this, he suggested that this was not something he actively sought for.
“I am happy with what we have at the moment,” said Maresca. 'On the right is Pedro [Neto] and Noni [Madueke]On the left is Jadon [Sancho]. Misha [Mudryk] Was with us, not anymore. Tyrique [George] Is a young profile that can help us, so we are right at the moment.
“We pay attention (on the market) if something can happen. But ten days to go, we didn't do anything, we only called Trev (Chalobah) back. We will see for the next ten days if something will happen. “
