Garnacho ‘will buy dinner’ at Man Utd for Ipswich substitute reaction

Ruben Amorim said that Alejandro Garnacho “will pay for a meal for his teammates” after he had gone directly through the tunnel in the 3-2 victory of Manchester United on Ipswich Town.

Garnacho was sacrificed on Wednesday for Noussair Mazraoui after Patrick Dorgu received a straight red card for a challenge about Ipswich's Omari Hutchinson.

But instead of taking his place on the couch, the Argentinian went straight through the tunnel, suggested that he was frustrated by Amorims decision to withdraw him from the game.

Amorim has since spoken with Garnacho to find out the situation and says that the winger will finance a night out for his teammates.

“It was funny because he came to me the next day, to my office,” said the United Boss.

“I did some research and he went to the dressing room. He changed his clothes because he was wet.

'He looked at the game in the different [place]Not on the couch. At the end of the game he was there, then he went home, so there is no problem there.

“But I told them that everything is important at Manchester United, and the perception in a large club is really important, so he will pay for dinner to the whole team, and that's it.

“I think he understands. He was immersed, he played well and had to get rid of the game at that time.

“It's hard to deal with everything, but they have everything to do. I just try to help them be better footballers.”

Amorim also defended Captain Bruno Fernandes and stated that his opinion about the midfielder matters more than former United Skipper, Roy Keane.

Keane gave a destructive assessment of the leadership of Fernandes and tore in his recent displays as he spoke to the overlap of the overlap to football podcast.

In the Premier League this season, Fernandes scored more goals (six) and created more opportunities (59) than all his united teammates.

The former United Captain said that the Portugal International was a “talented player”, but that “talent is not enough” with the Red Devils who are in the top in the 14th way.

“I have a different opinion. Bruno is really important to us in the club,” said Amorim. He is especially for me. He plays well in a difficult context. He always wants responsibility.

“I always know that as a captain he is doing things with his arms, and sometimes you see it criticizing the teammates.

“I think it has been a lot of frustration in recent years. He wants to win, and sometimes it is really difficult to deal with that frustration.

“But as I said, everyone has an opinion. Roy Keane has great standards in his time. And it is normal to have an opinion.

“I have the opposite opinion and I think it is more important than that of Roy Keane because I am the coach. And I think he is doing things pretty well.”
