Mohamed Salah enjoyed another stunning season in Liverpool, but Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer believe
Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer agree that Ousmane Dembele from Paris Saint-Germain should be Ballon d'Or Favorite this season. The couple believes that the prize should go the way of the Frenchman in contrast to Mohamed Salah in Liverpool.
PSG easily aimed for this period for Champions League Glory, in which Inter Milan was dismantled 5-0 in the final and a trio of English clubs are cut down, including Arne Slot's Reds, which they rejected on penalties in March, on the way to the final in Munich.
With their sizzling counter attacks, Luis Enrique is blinded and Achraf Hakimi, last sensation Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and the deadly Dembele have all played.
Dembele has an impressive count of 33 goals of competitions and has been a cornerstone of the domestic and European triumphs of his party, and Lineker and Shearer believe that he is currently Premier League Golden Boot and title winner Salah in the Race for the Ballon d'Or Trojes.
“Nowadays we have to come to the inevitable question about the Ballon d'Or,” Lineker started talking about the rest is football podcast next to Co-host Shearer.
“It is clearly influenced by the side that wins the final of the Champions League, but somehow, because of the nature of PSG's teamwork, it doesn't come to one person.
“I mean, you could probably give it to quite a few of their specific players, but I suppose that deeming will be favorite. He had a few really good moments [in the final].
“He didn't get his goal, but he was very involved in some of the goals, one assist and a pre -assistant or something – one of the two of them.
“So I think he will probably be a favorite now. I mean, [Gianluigi] Donnarumma, as a goalkeeper, may have a small chance, but keepers [rarely win such awards]. Or even Hakimi. “
Shearer replied: “Yes, I think Dembele, although he did not get his goal, would probably be the favorite, right?
Lineker joked: “The two full-backs are absolutely fantastic, isn't it. I mean, Gee whiz,” while Shearer added: “The way in which PSG plays plays, they have the freedom to move forward.
“You just look at the record of Hakimi, in the quarters, semis and final, all score. I mean that that kind of you tells. They are almost everyone in world football in what they do. They are an exceptional team.”
Shearer discussed PSG's upcoming transfer window and acknowledged that newcomers will have a challenging time to secure a place in the Enrique start setup.
“I mean who they will recruit this summer if they do – I would imagine that they will get one or two,” Chearer concluded. “They will have to be exceptional talents, exceptional players to get into the first eleven.”
