Gary Neville gives Man Utd transfer verdicts on Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, Kobbie Mainoo

Gary Neville has unveiled a shortlist of four players from players Manchester United has to release this summer window.

Ruben Amorim's first summer transfer window as a United Boss is crucial, because he tries to assemble a team that is able to bounce back from an all -time Premier League low finish of the 15th place.

United also ended the campaign trophy, after he had defeated Tottenham in the Europa League final, so that the club denied a return to the Champions League.

United started the window on the front foot and confirms a deal to sign Wolves star Matheus Cunha. Sky Sports News understands that they are also expected to approach Brentford for their top goalscorer this season, Bryan Mbeumo.

Neville, however, believes that there will be the emphasis on spending with an inevitability around some members of the team. The former United Captain believes that Marcus Rashford is one of the players to leave this window.

'Rashford's husband Utd Ship has sailed'

“Marcus Rashford has to leave Manchester United. That ship has sailed and he has to find another club,” Neville said on the overlap show, it's called football.

“I would worry that Villa did not announce that they already keep it, because that would be an easy deal to do with United if they were planning to keep him.

“It sounds to me that Villa will not keep him and he will return to United, but I hope the club and Marcuswille until that path ends.”

Neville expressed a similar image of Jadon Sancho, who understands Sky Sports News, will not remain on loan in Chelsea after having spent the season on Stamford Bridge.

“With Jadon Sancho, Manchester United has to make sure they say goodbye to him,” said Neville.

“From Jadon's point of view, he must ensure that he excludes manners with Manchester United.”

Neville also mentioned Alejandro Garnacho and Antony as two names that also have to be shown the door after both players have recently publicly expressed that their respective futures at Old Trafford are uncertain. Last month Antony said that he has been on loan “smiling and happy” since he came to Real Betis.

On Antony, Neville said: “His interview was absolutely perfect. I would imagine that he absolutely went under in United. He went to Spain and is absolutely suitable on the ground with Spanish football.

“There is another tactical consciousness, technical skills that are better suited for him. There were players such as Kleberon or Diego Forlan; it just didn't happen for them, but they had a very good career. Forlan was sensational in Spain, there are players who are not suitable for a competition.

“Antony is perfect for Spain, and United should facilitate it. The best for United, the best for the club.”

'It is correct that Garnacho goes'

After the defeat of United against Spurs, Garnacho spoke with the media after the game to express his dissatisfaction so as not to start the game. “We will see what is happening,” said Garnacho about his future after a destructive assessment of the performances of his party.

“If players hire the manager and if players question the manager in public, the manager must win via social media, or the manager has to leave,” said Neville.

“I don't think that will happen this time. That happened way too often before, so I think Garnacho will just leave pure.

“They have had enough. Garnacho can do it in the Premier League, but I think he will thrive in Spain, he will score goals and he will be someone where we will look back next season and ask:” Why didn't Manchester United held him? “

“Things like that will happen to him, but he will have to go. That is not that I throw my toys out of the pram and says he has to go, but for the club and for him it is precisely that he is going.”

'Mainoo cannot leave'

Neville, however, took another picture of Kobbie Mainoo, with the future of the 20-year-old also questioned.

“Mainoo is a step too far,” said Neville.

“If we can't give Kobbie Mainoo a job in those two in midfield, a top club will want him. Why can't we make him a top player, if he is one of us and shows talent? I don't know what is going on in recent months, he has had some injuries that have caused him problems, so he must stay fit in.

“It is probably not a Casemiro or [Manuel] Ugarte, it's probably someone else there who is better than the two. We should build on Mainoo in that midfield, not because he came through the ranks. I think it's good to get rid of players who come through the ranks, but don't get rid of players who come through the ranks and showed what they can do.

“Marcus Rashford has been in the club for a long time, Garnacho has had two or three years and there is also a bit of a situation going on. But Mainoo is a no for me. He doesn't leave.”
