Gary Neville plays bass in surprise appearance live on stage at Manchester gig

Gary Neville appeared on stage as a special guest during the performance of Saturday evening by Indie Rockband The Reytons in Manchester's Aviva Studios.

Just a few hours before the Sky Sports Pundit had to be received in Old Trafford to provide the reporting of Manchester United vs Arsenal as part of Super Sunday, the 50-year-old former rightback was bouncing while stroking a bass guitar.

Neville's appearance surprised many fans. However, it was announced in September last year that during parts of their right -wing tour he would come to the band of Rotherham.

After the real bass player Lee Holland was depicted in the hospital with his left arm in a pendulum, the social media channels of the Reytons had posted a video of a spoof interview, in which they asked Neville: “How do you actually find it on Bas?”

Neville replied: “I have never played Bas in my life ', before lead singer Jonny Yerrell comically explained:” You're inside! “

On Saturday, Neville joined the band on stage for their performance of Low Life, with texts, including: 'He is a low life, Dirty Little Low Life. Yes, the boy is all she dreamed, I know for sure. '

Responding to his appearance on Saturday, a fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter): 'Gary Neville came on stage in front of the Reytons with a guitar was certainly not on my Bingo card of 2025'.

Another fan added: “Gary Neville just appears out of nowhere during the Reytons performance, maybe one of the best things I've ever experienced.”

Former Newcastle and Man City -midfielder Joey Barton, however, was less impressed.

Barton tweeted: 'In Manchester Tonight. A person's d *** head uncle has come on stage with these young boys in a band. Bring him home. Air guitar in YA 50s? Sausage'.
