Gary Neville says Man Utd can’t lose in win-win Bruno Fernandes transfer dilemma

Bruno Fernandes seems to remain in Manchester United, so Gary Neville remains undecided about the future of the most important player of Ruben Amorim after a scorching season

Manchester United cannot lose in the midst of the Bruno Fernandes Transfer Saga, according to Gary Neville. The future of the Portuguese playmaker has been in the air since he admitted after the last defeat of the Europa League to Spurs that he could be discharged this summer, even though he was the striking player of United during an abject campaign.

Saudi Pro League-Kant Al-Hilal has suggested to sign Fernandes for the World Cup of Club. Allegedly the playmaker seriously considered accepting a £ 700,000 a week. Al-Hilal would also be willing to pay up to £ 100 million for the 30-year-old, cash that could have been plowed into the much needed makeover of the team.

According to new reports, Fernandes has rejected the importance of Al-Hilal and seems to stay in Old Trafford after he had consulted with his family.

Speaking of it it is called the football show prior to the latest development, Neville insisted that the reported £ 100 million fee would have been a good deal for United because they strive to stay within PSR restrictions. The Sky Sports Pundit, however, said that his former club also needs a player of the quality and leadership of Fernandes.

Neville said: “I was torn on this, because if the £ 100 million fee is good and United gets it, I don't think it's a bad fee. I even think [he’s saying] “No, I want to fight this out and turn it around.” I think that's great too.

“So I am 50-50 in what I think about it. The £ 100 million United has to rebuild the team. On the other hand, they need players with personality and quality, and they don't have that much. He is in fact the only one they have. For me it is a non-loss situation.”

Fernand's captain United while they took their journey to Asia after the season with a 3-1 friendly victory against Hong Kong. Asked if that could have been the last performance of Fernandes for the club, Amorim said: “I don't think so.

“I don't know for sure, nobody knows, but I don't think so I think he sees us undertaking to change all things and I think that's all he asked. I think he wants to stay.

“He says no to many things, but it shows that he wants to win and I think he is very young, he is really good. He must be in the best competition in the world.”

A reimbursement of £ 100 million would help to finance the much -needed rebuilding of this summer as United Navigate PSR. Pushed or United could reject such a figure, Amorim said, “Yes, yes. We can find another way to make money.”
