Gary Neville won’t be happy as Man Utd close in on mega-money Sesko transfer

Fans of Manchester United are enthusiastic about the prospect of signing Benjamin Sesko, but Gary Neville was probably not fully won after his comments last season

The hope of Gary Neville on Manchester United who signed six new players seem to be in cracks while the club closes a large deal for Benjamin Sesko. Ruben Amorim's side is the favorites to sign the Slovenian after he chose the Red Devils above Newcastle.

The magpies were apparently in pole position to sign him after RB Leipzig had accepted their £ 78 million bid. United offered a package that was worth around £ 73.8 million, which should not be accepted by the German side.

Sesko will be the fourth signing to arrive this summer in Old Trafford, after Paraguayan left-back Diego Leon, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. Although some people consider this a successful window, Neville thought that United needed at least six new faces, including two midfielders, after this disastrous campaign in the previous term.

There is a chance that United will bring in more bodies, as well as Sesko, before the window closes. Most, if not all, of the United budget, will be housed for the Sesko deal, which means that Neville's hope for at least two more signing sessions looks unlikely.

United is expected to be reinforced in the goalkeeper department, but will probably only sign a backup for Andre Onana. Speaking before the Europa League final, Neville insisted that United would need a dramatic overhaul in the summer.

“Five or six players minimal [are needed] To be able to change the direction of how he (Amorim) wants to play, “said Neville.” There are at least two attackers, a central midfield player, at least two wingbacks and another center-back.

“They need at least six players. Ruben has been very good at identifying the players he wants from the club; that is really clear to everyone. The task of the club is now to get them out and to get replacements in that he fun and wants in his team.”

Neville is not the only one who thinks the United recruitment team should bring in more players. Gary Lineker stated this week that they 'needed much more', while Alan Shearer said that the rest is the football podcast: “Two good signing sessions … They still need at least three, I would say. They need a center-forward and keeper of top class.”

If a movement for Sesko is completed, United has signed three attackers and one left -wing back. In the case of 18-year-old Leon, however, it is currently uncertain whether United sees him as a player in the first team or as someone who will enter their direction under 21.

When Sesko arrives, United's transfer expenditure will surpass the £ 200 million, so that their expenses will probably be concluded, unless they can earn back some major costs for Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony.

Despite the fact that Amorim his attack, which was considerably strengthened for United last season, Neville was not completely satisfied with their company, since he wanted more midfielders and defenders to join the club.

However, he is satisfied with the staff that has been brought in. He said Sky Sports: “Manchester United In the past ten or 11 years, a function has accepted a position in which they have made mistakes in the transfer market or in recruitment or they have held players for too long.

“It seems that what is happening now, Ruben Amorim is the identification of players he does not want in the team and he moves them outside. That is positive and on paper I love the signing sessions of Cunha and Mbeumo.

“Why do I like them? They have Premier League experience, they look more like Manchester United styles of players with a little more pace and strength and the physicality to get from box to box quickly.

“I think if you look at Garnacho, Sancho and Antony, are more Jinkers, more people who work in tight spaces. I have always had the feeling that United Players can open their legs and can stretch real teams and I think Cunha and Mbeumo do that.”

The newcomers of United and the current harvest of stars must be at their best when the Premier League starts. They have home collisions against Arsenal, Burnley and Chelsea and Away matches against Fulham, Manchester City and Brentford in their first six games of the new campaign.
