Gavi passed fit for Barcelona’s La Liga return

Barcelona received a fresh injury boost prior to their La Liga trip to Sevilla with Gavi who is fit to travel.

Hansi Flick will judge his team options in the coming hours in the preference of the Andalucians after a difficult few days before La Blaugrana.

After their excellent 5-0 Copa del Rey Quarter Final victory in Valencia, the entire travel party was forced to travel to the north to Catalonia by bus, due to dangerous weather.

Mist in the Valencia area prevented their flight in Castellon to set up and they returned to Barcelona in the early hours of Friday morning.

That was far from ideal and disrupted Flick's training and recovery plan prior to the Sevilla game.

This weekend, Flick wants to close the La Liga title gap on Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid and Gavi's return to action is an important positive for him.

The Spain International was forced last weekend in the 1-0 house about Alaves after storing a filthy head injury and a concussion.

That required him would go wrong in Valencia, but after extensive tests Gavi has passed on all the necessary concussion protocols and can now return to the team, according to reports from Diario Sport.

He took a complete role in the last training session of Barcelona prior to the game and was immediately able to return to the starting XI in the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Flick brought four start changes between the Alaves and Valencia victories, but he is expected to remember Ronald Arajo, Marc Casado and Robert Lewandowski, tipped with Gavi to start about Fermin Lopez.

Without midweek UEFA Champions League match on the agenda, Flick de Gap will use to give his players some downtime before he organizes Rayo Vallecano in-Form Rayo Vallecano host and the return of European promotion in March.
