The Italian club presented its fourth kit, inspired by the colors of the Argentinian club, founded by Genuese immigrants in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.
Genoa unveiled his fourth set on Wednesday, a navy blue shirt with a yellow stripe in the middle, inspired by the colors of Boca Juniors, to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of the Argentinian club, founded by Genoese immigrants in Buenos Aires.
The new kit maintains the blue and yellow color scheme of Boca, but records the Genoa Crest with its iconic Grifo, the symbol of the oldest club in Italy.
As a special detail, the inscription 'Zeneixi' has been added to the back, just below the neck, the Genuese adjustment of 'xeneises', a term that originally meant “genuese” and that over time became a symbol of identity for the Buenos Aires Club.
With this sweater, Genua Hulde brings to Boca Juniors, one of the most successful teams in the world, founded in 1905 by Genuese immigrants who had settled in Buenos Aires.
For the kit launch, Genoa has drawn up a photography and audiovisual campaign under the leadership of photographer Sam Gregg, with the aim of capturing the emotional, cultural and football tires that unite Genoa and Buenos Aires.
This release not only celebrates their shared football history, but is also a tribute to the waves of migration at the beginning of the 20th century, when thousands of Genuese settled in Argentina, the Italian club explained in a statement.
Genoa debuts this fourth kit on March 29 in their Serie A match against Juventus in Turin.
