Gerard Pique backs Luis Enrique to seal Champions League dream at PSG

One of the former Barcelona stars of Luis Enrique has supported him to lead Paris Saint-German to a very first UEFA Champions League title.

The Parisians have been sensational in the knock -out phase of the 2024/25 competition when the Ligue 1 champions Liverpool and Aston Villa switched off.

The Luis Enrique side is linked to a third Premier League team in the semi -final while Mikel Arteta stands between him on 31 May and a final against Inter Milan in Munich.

The winner of the ex-Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele achieved a 1-0 win in the first leg in the Emirates Stadium, while Arteta's side went to the Parc des Princes podium tonight.

Pique played in the last UCL success of Barcelona – under Luis Enrique in 2015 – in addition to winning two La Liga titles with the Asturian coach.

In anticipation of the Crunch showdown with Arsenal, Pique believes that this is PSG's chance to end their long wait for a Champions League crown, and his old boss is the perfect person to deliver it.

“PSG and Luis Enrique are a clear example of the importance of the coach in today's football”, according to an interview with RMC Sport, via relevant.

There are many great players, but the most important thing is to have a leader who is convinced of what he does, who convinces the players of the path to follow, regardless of whether they are more or less known, but who are committed to what the team does and who make their talent available to the team.

“This is the great example of PSG this season.

“PSG is a club that tried to win the Champions League, because I don't know how many years, invest an incredible amount.

“Luis Enrique arrived and said that he wants dedicated players who will fight as a team, he has shown that he is a great coach, now his PSG clear favorites to win the Champions League.”
