Gervonta Davis was involved in various controversial moments during his career, but his title stripped of his title was one of the largest.
Earlier this week it was announced that Gervonta Davis will shock Jake Paul in a huge collision on November 14 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
In his last outing, 'Tank' scored a controversial draw against Lamont Roach JR, and it seemed as if the two would participate in an immediate rematch before the huge news dropped.
That marked the first blemish in the impressive 31 Fight career of Davis, but it is a career that has controversy everywhere.

Davis was stripped of his title despite the scoring of huge KO -victory in Mayweather vs McGregor Undercard
In 2017, 'Tank' Davis was booked to defend his title against Francisco Fonseca in what the greatest chance of his career was at that time, because it was the co-main event at Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor.
Fonseca was unbeaten at the time and won the chance of former champion Roman Martinez. However, the fight was given a huge blow when Davis appeared an hour late to weigh and weighed heavily in 2 pounds for the featherweight fight.
Although Fonseca had made the limit of 130 pounds, Davis refused to weigh for the second time and was then stripped of his IBF-Fedweight title.
Although Davis missed the weight, the fight went on and only Fonseca could win the empty title. The fight was invoiced as an easy fight for Davis, but it took him a few rounds to get into the groove of the fight.
It was even more controversy in round eight when Davis landed a huge left hook that fonseca dropped on his knees.
The challenger could not get up and the result was disputed later after repetitions showed the punch on the back of his head.
Davis claimed that Fonseca benefited from wounded by brutal body shot
After the fight, Davis was booed by the crowd for the way his victory came about, but he tried to explain why Fonseca remained.
“I actually caught him for that with a body shot and he was injured. So he benefited that I hit him to the back of the head and went down,” Davis told the Showtime broadcast.
'Tank' never went back to his IBF -Fedweight title and instead continued to increase the weight distributions.
