JACK STEPHENS left Southampton fans pulling out their hair after he tried to do the same to Marc Cucurella's.
The Saints were 2-1 down against Chelsea when the defender was involved in a penalty area duel with Cucurella.
Replays showed he pulled the Spanish left-back's hair, causing Cucurella to fall to the ground.
VAR replays left Tony Harrington with no choice but to show the Southampton captain red.
And one Saints fan furiously said: “Take away the club captaincy from him. Ridiculous.”
Another raged: 'Jack Stephens gets sent off again? Pathetic excuse from a captain.'
One said: “When we destroy ourselves, it's always special how we do it”
Another said: “GET HIM OUT OF OUR F***ING CLUB NOW.”
Stephens was suspended for three matches earlier this season after being sent off against Manchester United in September.
Axel Disasi opened the scoring after seven minutes following a corner, but Joe Aribo leveled shortly afterwards.
After an accident at the back, Christopher Nkunku restored Chelsea's lead before Noni Madueke made it 3-1.
Stephens was then sent off five minutes after the break, leaving Southampton with the formidable task of turning the game around.
Chelsea finished the match as 5–1 winners, with Cole Palmer and Jadon Sancho contributing the score.
