Getafe sign former Spain international as ex-Barca midfielder joins Alaves on loan

Getafe has been one of the busier sides of La Liga on Transfer Deadline Day with movements in both directions in the Estadio Coliseum.

In the coming weeks, Jose Bordalas wants to send his team away from relegation danger in addition to a Copa del Rey Quarter -final against Atletico Madrid tomorrow.

As part of a rehearsal of the Bordalas team, the former midfielder of Barcelona Carles Alena is allowed until the end of the campaign to join Alaves, after a limited role so far in his plans this season.

The club has not confirmed that a purchase clause will be included in the deal with Alena that is expected to return to Madrid in June.

With team room cleared by the move from Alena to the Basque Country, Bordalas has completed a movement for two Villarreal players, in which Ramon Terrats Landen and Juan Bernat land on a free transfer.

The deal for veteran Full back Bernat is one of the bravest of the window, whereby the experienced former Spain International cancels his contract in Castellon, only a few days after signing.

At the start of the campaign, Villarreal corresponded a loan agreement to PSG, made permanently in January, but Bernat has now chosen to continue.

Villareal confirmed that they had reached an agreement to end his link to the club when Getafe set out a scoop to bring the 31-year-old to the capital.

He brings a wealth of experience from all over Europe after winning four league titles in Paris and four Bundesliga crowns during his time in Bayern Munich.

Until the end of the season, Bernat has signed a deal in the short term with Getafe with his continuation expects that he will take off on Bordalas that the club will hold in the top in 2025.

After the Copa collision with Atletico Madrid, Getafe is opposed to a Quickfire reunion with Alena, while on 9 February they go to Alaves in League Action.
