Morgan Gibbs-White was told that he should sue Nottingham Forest after they had blocked the £ 60 million of Tottenham for the International of England, claiming that Spurs had achieved an illegal approach.
Tottenham decided to activate the Gibbs-White release clause, but the transfer was put on hold after Forest had written a letter of complaints to the Premier League and Spurs, claiming that they had tapped their captain.
Now former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'hara Forest has branded a “shame” and claimed that Gibbs-White should sue the club and refuses to train in an attempt to force a move to North London.
“Morgan Gibbs-White should go to the PFA, he has to sue Nottingham Forest, and he should refuse to train,” O'hara told Grosvenor Sport. “I think Bos is a shame, the way they have treated the situation is disgusting.
“He has signed a contract and there is a release clause of 60 million pounds in it. He knows that it is there, his agent knows that it is there and Nottingham Forest knows that it is there. He agreed with that contract on those conditions, whether he has become a better player at Forest who is worth more than 60 million, that is on him.
“Now, when someone finds out about the release clause, who happens every day in football, people discover things and agents talk, Nottingham Forest suddenly decide that they cannot have that, and the clause is confidential.
“What do you mean by confidential? It is a release company in a player's contract; he has the right to know about it and tell people about it. What is going on here?
“Evangelos Marinakis has had an absolute stinker and his club is going to lose Morgan Gibbs white for 60 million because he did better than they expected and discovered someone. It is a shame.
“A player can tell who he wants about his contract, he deserved it, and they were all happy to sign it at the time. Now it is suddenly illegal, what the hell are they about? It's disgusting.”
Tottenham supports the new manager Thomas Frank this summer and has spent £ 55 million to sign Mohammed Kudus van West Ham after making Mathys Tel and the loan from Kevin Danso Permanent.
