Girona has secured the services of Manchester City Center-Back Vorror Reis. The 19-year-old Brazilian was seen shortly after the landing in Spain on Tuesday and was seen for a photo with a Girona fan prior to his loan movement.
Reis joined the January transfer window of Palmeiras, in a deal that is reportedly worth around € 37 million and is seen as a long-term investment by the English club. However, given the wealth of talent that the Premier League side has in the central defense, a loan movement is considered the best option for the development of travel.
Since making the switch from Brazil to Manchester, Reis has only made four performances for City – from three games, two of which were in the FA Cup against Leyton Orient and Plygyle, and one in the recent FIFA Club World Cup against Wydad AC – In addition to a replacement appearance on his Premier League.
Girona remains interested in various other players in the ranks of the city, and the English club wants to go through a number of squadrans members – either to help their development or to free up space, in which Pep Guardiola had explained his desire for a smaller team. A decision about who is on loan on loan at Girona will probably take some time and will depend on other movements in the market.
