Portuguese club Gondomar SC expressed his deep sorrow after the tragic death of former players Diogo Jota and his brother André in a car accident.
In a genuine statement about their official channels, the club wrote:

Diogo Jota, who started his football trip in the Academy of Gondomar, became one of the smartest talents in Portugal. The professional career of the Liverpool Forward brought him from Paços de Ferreira to Atlético de Madrid, FC Porto, Wolves and finally to Anfield, where he became a key figure under Jürgen Klopp.
His younger brother André also played for Gondomar during his career, which further strengthens the tires of the family with the club.
Gondomar's tribute follows an outpouring of grief from all over the football world, with messages from Atlético de Madrid, Pepe and many others. The loss of the Jota brothers has left Portuguese football in mourning.
