Graham Potter admits that he feels the pressure after West Ham had had a second pounding defeat of the season to leave the bottom of the Premier League.
The Hamers were sent 5-1 by an unbridled Chelsea side in the London Stadium that did not even need the services of Cole Palmer, who were injured in global warming.
West Ham gave all their goals of crosses or corners and were stolen by the tunnel, while furious supporters collided with stewards after a child walked on the field.
“You are always under pressure in these jobs, in this situation, that's how it is,” said Potter. 'I know the territory, I know what comes with poor results and I accept that responsibility.
'It was too easy to score against us, so I take my responsibility and I have to do better. That is the case with all players. They are honest and want to do more than at the moment.
'I don't want to say that it is a lack of fight, I know the players care and desperate to do it right. I know they want to do better than we do. Sometimes in football and life you hit a patch and there has been no doubt about a tough week. We had a smash on the nose. '
West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen said he 'rumbled' with the performance on his part. '[I’m feeling] All the emotions associated with the on the back of admitting eight goals in two games and not picking up a point, “he told Sky Sports.
“We have to look at ourselves. The manager has arrived, but the players are on the field that he cannot influence it. We do not do basic football well enough, I can tell you because we have admitted eight goals in two games. '
Chelsea -Baas Enzo Maresca revealed that Palmer would be assessed after a repetition of a knoting groin injury.
'Cole was not 100 percent in the past four or five days. He tried to warm up, but felt something, so we preferred not to take a risk of getting worse and we will see if it is something important or not.
'It was all the palace game not 100 percent, but he tried to make great efforts because he is really enthusiastic about the team. Tonight he tried again, but he wasn't very good. '
